SIAL: DO NOT MISS IT

25 may, 2016

The biggest, most important food fair in the world is being held from 16 to 20 October this year. SIAL PARIS offers 270,000 m2 of more than 400,000 local and global products. With about 6,500 exhibitors from more than 90 countries, it is the ultimate meeting place for professionals.

More than half a century ago, SIAL aimed to become the biggest international trade fair for food professionals. In 2016, the fair is the ultimate meeting place for the food industry.

What’s new?

After a successful introduction in 2014, SIAL is again organising special exhibition spaces for emerging sectors this year. For the first time there is a special gluten-free sector, which reflects the adjustments the market needs to make to meet the new expectations and patterns of well-informed, demanding consumers. The trade fair also focuses on organic and fresh products and puts the spotlight on beer and hot drinks as well. The Tech area gives small and medium-sized businesses the opportunity to present their technology to visitors. ‘Made in France’ products can again be seen in a joint exhibition space this year.

La cuisine

The La Cuisine sector, where renowned chefs prepare the finest dishes, undoubtedly remains the most popular event of SIAL Paris. An international Michelin star chef will also be preparing a local dish from a specific country every day. The second special SIAL Innovation Award for food service/catering will also be presented this year.
